We haven't in the past really ever crating our dogs. But along came Nora.
We had gotten used to major messes around the house and in the yard once we got home every afternoon, but the other day we got home to our office being destroyed. We had the doorway mostly blocked but she still managed to get in.
The floor of the office could barely be seen. She took the cushions off the chair and the couch and tore the stuffing out of the bottom of the chair. There were tax documents everywhere (luckily they were not eaten) and a box of colored pencils (they were mostly eaten). My briefcase was destroyed along with some books.
I almost wish that I had gotten pictures. Almost. I'm not sure if it is really something that I would ever want to look back on.
My husband decided that we have no choice but to crate her. I disagreed but we are doing it his way.
I have been coming home early while she is getting used to it and honestly I think it bothers me more than it does her, so it looks like we have a new system.
I have to say, it is nice to not be afraid of what I am going to find when I walk in the door.
